Should We Be Colorblind?

Nothing reveals the moral confusion of our time more than those who label the term “colorblind” racist. Who would want to see themselves in terms of their skin color? And what does a person’s skin color really say about who they are — their likes, dislikes, values, and so on?

  1. I have seen people of all colors, orientations, preferences, and ages say and do things that get them labelled as stupid, lazy, greedy, and gaming the system. As well, I have seen the same groups of people say and do correct, righteous, and brilliant things.

It’s what they do and say that turns me for them or against them. The real problem is that the ones that are bad usually fit into the stereotyped groups so you are labelled as racist for grouping them – instead of what they did to fit in that group!

Worse than that, if you praise someone for saying/doing something that takes them out of the group – you get labelled as well – for pointing out the good things.

If you want to continue to be the victim or want to be the hero…it’s all up to what you say and do!
