It is in the news, just not the MSM. New car sales are below flat. Used car prices are off the charts. New car production is in a bad way across the country, with factories shutting down.
Its also not the story line right now. Holiday season shortages, jobs, jabs, etc. Remember, when do we normally see car ads? Weekday Morning news, national news, then holidays. Vets day is coming and it will be after elections so there prob wont be an uptick since there is no supply so no year end deals. Next major car hoilday will be presidents day in Feb. Wait and see i suppose.
Until then, hold onto what you have and get it serviced.

It’s not just the car factories, it’s the industries that supply the raw materials, the thousands of parts, from screws to wires to gaskets to paints, the machines that make the parts, the trucks that deliver all of it to and from factories and suppliers and retailers. The only part of the production market that’s doing at least okay are aftermarket parts producers, but even they are being burned by price increases and reduced availability of production materials.
It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

By the time new cars catch up the bubble will have popped. Prices will come crashing as people who bought/leased cars with their corona cash will have it dry up and default on payments, flooding the market with good, used cars. Same thing is going to happen with boats, RVs, and probably houses. If you’re in the market for something big like those things, just wait another 9-12 months. Already seeing barely used 2020 boat show up on Craigslist.
Same goes for Alabama. Biden is spending $3.5T to steal Christmas!

Not only are the above issues problematic for car dealerships, but it’s also the way they do business. Yesterday I called Pittsville Ford for a part that I needed that costs about $15.00. The parts guy I spoke to said the part did not exist (fuel filter for 2014 Ford) and that I would need to bring it to service. As I knew he was lying I played along and spoke to service representative. She told me that the first thing to be done would be a $150.00 computer diagnostic that would take several hours to conduct (i.e. jacking up the price). I asked for a ballpark figure on just the diagnostic….over $500.00. The fact that dealerships blatantly lie to jack up the prices is also a huge part of this problem. Hope somebody at Pittsville Ford reads this.

It is related to socialism, 12:46 p.m., as the goods, services and production of a capitalist economy are being disrupted by the POTUS via his socialist handlers. Socialism has never worked – and before you run off to spout how great things are in the Scandinavian countries, realize they are not socialist. It would seem that us ‘boomers’ are quite educated and reflecting on the current economic system in the prices of food, goods, and services rising to double the prices they were just a year ago. However, should you wish to debate this with me, I will certainly avail myself the opportunity to properly educate you.
