Meggan Gray, a 14-year news anchor at WLOX-TV, delivered a heartfelt goodbye to her viewers during her final “Good Morning Mississippi” broadcast, and followed up her departure with a fiery missive proclaiming that her integrity is intact despite losing her job after refusing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
In August, Gray Television, parent company of WLOX, announced that it would require all of its employees to be vaccinated by Oct. 1.
Gray said last week during the closing segment of “Good Morning Mississippi” on Thursday that she “did not know what the future holds” after losing her job, the Daily Mail reported.
“[I wanted] to take a moment and let you know that I honestly do not know what the future holds for me as far as my career here at WLOX,” she began. “And I just felt that I owed it to you … to take a moment while I had an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ for allowing me into your homes for the past several years. I’ve had a wonderful 18-year career here, and I’m very grateful for every moment of it. Thank you so much.”
So if you get vaccinated you can still get and spread covid but not as severe. Vaccinated or unvaccinated you still can get and die from covid. It said this reporter lives in Mississippi. Did anyone see the college football games this weekend? The stadiums were packed with tens of thousands of fans. They don’t require every fan that enters to be vaccinated and there is more of a chance of spreading in such a populated place. It just makes NO SENSE. The people that are unvaccinated are only hurting their self if that is their decision.
I have the vaccination, but don’t see how you can say unvaccinated are hurting themselves, when you before stated vaccinated can get covid and die from it. Sorta doesn’t add up. Myself being a Trumplican, say the priority in this whole thing is to hit China everywhere it hurts. This jerk that stole our house is kissing their backside (ass).
Private industry can and will do what it wants, without fed gov intervention. Now state and loc govies can make it hard…but choose not to. Our nations major majority employees work for private entities….small minority are fed state and local govies.
It is a choice we all make.
