Three Texas women are arraigned for attack on Asian hostess at famed NYC restaurant Carmine’s – who they claimed hurled a racial slur at them

Three Texas women who were seen in a video allegedly attacking a hostess at famed NYC restaurant Carmine’s were arraigned in Manhattan on Tuesday.

Sally Rechelle Lewis, 49; Kaeita Nkeenge Rankin, 44; and her niece Tyonnie Keshay Rankin, 21, appeared at Manhattan Criminal Court to each face two counts of third-degree assault, attempted assault and harassment.

The three are accused of attacking an Asian hostess at Carmine’s on the Upper West Side on September 16 in a dispute over proof of vaccination requirements at the restaurant.
