Chesterfield County Police Chief Jeffrey S. Katz posted a grab that shows resource officer Anthony Bowen use his own body to protect a student at Meadowbrook High School from a mob of students attacking him.

Katz said the incident proves the necessity of police presence in schools and how if the  officer cultivate relationships with officers they can be of good use and protect them in violence situations.

  1. They probably are needed today, but the schools should never have gotten in that need or shape to start with. That’s what happens when you take disciplinary actions out and prayer out of the classroom. There is no structure in the home, so someone needs to kick a butt.

  2. Our schools are like prison yards… it’s time to go back to removing violent students and placing them in reform schools away from their failed families

  3. A heroic and very selfless act by the officer. For those who have students in a public school, please remember this the next time somebody wants to put a social worker in charge.
