Both Ocean City’s Fire Company and Police Department responded to a report Friday night of four simmers in distress in the Atlantic Ocean. The crews were on the scene approximately at 8:39 p.m. on the beach at 19th St.
According to OCPD, all four swimmers were pulled out of the water. One of the swimmers was taken to the hospitals. The status of that swimmer is not known. OCPD say they do know the cause of the incident and will give more information when it becomes available.
Dumb swimming in the ocean at night is a recipe for trouble. Hope they learned that.
