Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) blamed Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) for the January 6 Capitol riot, according to a new book.
Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker wrote about a phone conversation between Cheney and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, about an exchange she had with Jordan as the riot was unfolding.
CNN reported on the confrontation detailed in the book, “I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J. Trump’s Catastrophic Final Year.”
“That f****ing guy Jim Jordan. That son of a b****.… While these maniacs are going through the place, I’m standing in the aisle and he said, ‘We need to get the ladies away from the aisle. Let me help you.’ I smacked his hand away and told him, ‘Get away from me. You f****ing did this,’” Cheney reportedly said to Milley.
