Rudy Giuliani has been suspended from practicing law in Washington, D.C., according to a court filing released Wednesday.
Driving the news: This comes two weeks after a New York court ruled that he cannot practice in the state temporarily for making “demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public” while working for former President Trump to try and overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
- His license in D.C. is suspended pending the result of disciplinary proceedings in New York, the filing says.
Worth noting: “When he was suspended Wednesday, Giuliani was an inactive member of the District of Columbia bar in good standing, according to bar records,” CNBC writes.
What to watch: While the court states he shall be suspended until New York resolves his case, Giuliani could potentially be suspended for longer depending on how the court decides to proceed on the matter, Politico reports.
Lawyers get suspended all the time he is the only one that makes news. Joe Biden can practice law let that sink in.
That’s all he can do, is practice. Never had got it down
Words will be eaten.
