Harris Repeats Call to Suspend University Vaccine Mandates Given New CDC Safety Panel Results

WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris, M.D., today wrote Governor Hogan and Maryland Secretary of Health Dennis Schrader once again to urge them to put a stop to higher education institutions’ vaccine mandates.  This follows Dr. Harris’s June 15th letter of the same topic.  Citing the CDC advisory panel’s acknowledgement of over 1200 cases being investigated, and the “likely association” of myocarditis/pericarditis (heart inflammation) in young people, Dr. Harris strongly believes the decision to get vaccinated should solely be between a patient and their doctor, rather than a university bureaucrat.

Congressman Harris wrote:

“Considering these recent increased reports of heart inflammation, especially in young males, after receiving a mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, I write to again urge you to suspend vaccine mandates on higher education campuses. It is wholly inappropriate that access to education is becoming a factor in an individual coming to a risk-benefit decision with their physician regarding accepting a non-FDA-approved vaccine, given the risks including myocarditis/pericarditis. This decision should not be left to university bureaucrats, but to the patient and their personal physician.”

  1. Besides Left and Right, Conservative and Liberal, Democrat and Republican we are about to see another great divide. Vaccinated and Unvaccinated has not reached Hysterical levels yet but the first surge of any kind having to do with this Virus amongst those that chose for to take their chances are going to soon find themselves discriminated against, chastised and denied liberties. Just wait there are already inklings of it.
This is not over yet. The long term damage it has done to our economy unrealized and worst yet the psychological impact on our culture might have well be a foreign attack because that is what the aftermath and recovery of going on two years of this will amount to. The masks will have seemed like little compromise.
