The TV news went away in the 90s. Its been TV “shows” since and yes all about the ratings/audiences/pretty faces in tight outfits, etc. Nothing new here – yet the timing is perfect.
I know where to go for my DELMARVA local news here on the shore – SBYNEWS!
Sounds so much like WBOC and WMDT.
They only report the news that won’t offend their advertisers.
All government and corporate spin.
WBOC also does a very poor job of reporting news and happenings in the State of Maryland as well
as Virginia. I think they should have their license revoked because they don’t report much of what
happens out of Annapolis or new laws or decisions that will affect those of us that live on the eastern shore of Maryland. WMDT does a better job of reporting happenings around Salisbury, but very little else.
Saw that Comsuck removed the baltimore/DC channels the other day….then they were back…then gone…then back?
What gives with this stupid stuff anyway? I understand the territory stuff (WBOC/WMDT/WRDE)….don’t want to infringe with ratings dollars of DELMARVA via Philly/DC – but come on. WBOC has CBS/FOX, WMDT has ABC, WRDE with NBC. Here on the island over the air – HAHAHAHAHA hence the need to plug in.
Just funny when Comsuck places that disclaimer over the out of town stations blacking out because local stations. We are in the 2nd decade of the 21st Century – only us old folks are watching TV. Not to mention the prices – sheesh!
