SALISBURY, MARYLAND – Wicomico County State’s Attorney (SA) Jamie L. Dykes
is proud to welcome Scott B. Cook as Special Investigator (S/I) and Public Information Officer (PIO).
Earlier this month, following his retirement from the Maryland State Police, Scott B. Cook joined the
Office of the State’s Attorney as S/I and PIO. During his long and successful career with the Maryland
State Police, Scott distinguished himself an investigator working in investigative units across the state. Scott spent more than twelve (12) years assigned as an investigator to the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit. At the time of his retirement, Scott had been Commander of Homicide Unit for six (6) years.
SA Dykes said, “Scott Cook is a meticulous investigator who, with great integrity, has helped secure justice for countless victims of violent crime. We are proud and excited that Scott joined our team. As PIO, S/I Cook will be instrumental in communicating with the community we serve, ensuring that current, accurate information is shared.”
Scott replaces former S/I Carsten Wendlandt who retired earlier this month. S/I Scott Cook can be reached via email @ scook@wicomicocounty.org or by cell phone @443-463-2084.
Another double pension dipper
Scott Cook didn’t design the governmental systems that may allow him to be a “double pension dipper”. You can thank years and years of elected politicians and their unelected government bureaucrats for that. You shouldn’t fault Scott for the way the system works.
Scott Cook is a good man. Wicomico County is lucky to have him. Maybe he can help clean up the scum in Wicomico County.
I don’t work for the government. I am not Scott Cook’s friend. I just happen to know of him and respect him.
Another Maryland State Trooper taking advantage of the system! ROD “aka” Retired On Duty just like John Psota, Ed Lashley, Mike Lewis!
More get hired do nothing individuals except to collect a paycheck on the backs of county taxpayers! Sad
