Former Wicomico County Sheriff Hunter Nelms Passed Away

Talk about a great guy, Hunter Nelms unfortunately passed away this past Mother’s Day. Hunter didn’t want a funeral or any attention. He had been previously hit by a car in a parking lot and received a concussion and a broken hip. He was always one of the greatest representatives in the County and will be dearly missed. Till We Meet Again, R.I.P..

  1. R.I.P. Hunter Nelms. Mike Lewis will never be the real sherif that you were! Sheriff Shawty looks stupid with that cowboy hat trying to look like Sheriff Mark Lamb, the American Sheriff!

    1. Yeah, Sheriff Shawty is using his position on the taxpayers dime to try to get famous on TV. He’s been trying his best to get on show LivePD and he has released several videos of his constituents to be used on the show PD Cam! He thinks he is friends with Sheriff Lamb who he finally convinced to come to town and film Mikey with his doofus looking cowboy hat on.

If there is such a thing as character in law enforcement, Hunter was the poster boy. I knew Hunter when he was a Trooper and at that time law enforcement still HAD some respect from the populous. He was professional in deed and stature and projected an image of authority that commanded respect from the nastiest dregs of the criminal world. Although his detractors made light of his miscalculations and vices, he maintained a stiff upper lip which was his trademark. Well done good and faithful servant.

  3. One of the best in our history and a real leader and great person our best to his family now this is a man that needs a street or something bigger named in his honor.
