What will it take to finally slow down and curb city violence?
The mayor and police commissioner met to discuss those steps this week, after 11 people were killed over Memorial Day weekend.
But the violence hasn’t slowed this week. Two more people were shot and killed in Baltimore on Friday.
“As of Saturday morning, 143 lives have been lost in Baltimore so far this year.”
The mayor saying in a statement earlier in the week that he wanted to discuss what changes need to happen to make an immediate impact on the violence.
“I said we’re going to make sure they’re deployed in the right places and focused on the right people,” Scott told FOX45 at a Wednesday press conference. “That is how you can help. That’s the change in policing.”
Political analyst John Dedie said: “There is not a good, solid relationship with Mayor Scott and the commissioner, Mr. Harrison. At some point I think the mayor has got to fish or cut bait, They’ve got to figure out how they’re going to work together or basically cut ties.”
“He’s got to sit down with Harrison and say, what’s our deadline? What are we going to do? How are we going to get things done?” he says.

how about letting the average person have the ability to defend themselves and obtain a concealed carry permit?

Wow…. who knew, and I bet all of those weapons used in gun crimes are all registered correctly by their uses, because we know no crooks would used an illegally obtained gun.
