Maryland Natural Resources police have identified the woman who was pulled from the water Sunday at Sandy Point State Park. Officials say the woman has died.
NRP said officers were called around 1:38 p.m. for an unresponsive woman who was pulled from the water. She was taken to a hospital.
Police identified the woman as Geeta Stowe, 42, of Linthicum Heights. Stowe passed away Tuesday. Her family was notified.
Maryland NRP said the identification was made possible by the numerous tips received surrounding the case.
The investigation is ongoing.
