CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Public Schools is hiring, and if you’re qualified, they want you to be the newest bus driver, custodian, cafeteria worker or lunchroom monitor.
“We do have about 100 bus driver openings right now. It’s more about 30 or 40 for custodial services, and we have about 25 lunchroom monitor positions that we’re trying to fill,” said Karen Cooper-Collins, the human resources administrator for Chesapeake Public Schools.
Connecting with News 3 during a job fair, Cooper-Collins said the district is serious about filling positions.
As an incentive for people to join the team, the school district is covering the pre-employment cost for some groups and offering a $500 signing bonus for bus drivers.
Well , Nobody qualifies in this area since one needs so much !!!
To be a Bus driver involves too much trouble & cost , so that’s WHY you have openings & it Don’t Pay ENOUGH !
Looking for a GOOD job not a Bad one !!!
The openings are all in the minority schools. No civilized human being wants to work in those “racial jungles” as biden called them
Incentives are good recruitment tools – not a newspaper happy ad.
Schools need teachers too and the future crop of educators doesn’t look promising and the next complaint will be over crowded school rooms.
Nobody can tell You where to work , That is Your Choice , not the Govt !!!! Stay home if you want & get the
Stimulus & Unemployment !!!
Well , Now people can’t afford the GAS to go to work , so they will have to stay home & get Unemployment &
Stimulus !!!!!
More reason to Keep it going until Sept 2021 all you Crybabies & Winers over people getting Benefits !!!!!!
