Ocean City Police Arrest Four After a Citizen Report of Suspicious Behavior

On April 29, 2021, a local boardwalk business owner reported to the Ocean City Police Department suspicious activity in a parked vehicle in the 10-block of 8th Street. The citizen reported observing the occupants of the vehicle preparing a white powdery substance on a digital scale.

Members of the Narcotics Unit and the Special Enforcement Unit responded to the area. During the investigation, undercover officers observed the vehicle occupants go up to the Boardwalk, where they met with a group of males. Both groups were observed engaging in a drug transaction and then parted ways in different vehicles. With the assistance of patrol officers, both vehicles were stopped and searched. The investigation lead to the seizure of black tar heroin, powder cocaine, a digital scale, packaging materials, the seizure of U.S. Currency, a 9mm handgun, and a loaded extended 30 round magazine. In addition, officers were able to apprehend a wanted person and close a hit and run property damage accident that occurred during this investigation.

As a result of this citizen complaint and the quick response of undercover officers that were out patrolling the Boardwalk, the following four arrests were made:

Ricardo Henderson Thomas, 36, Temple Hills, MD: bench warrant, possession of marijuana 10+ grams, and CDS manufacture/distribute. Thomas was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and held on a $3,500 bond ($1,000 bond for the warrant, $2,500 bond for CDS).

De Angelo Demetrius White, 31, District Heights, MD: CDS: possession- not marijuana (2 counts), and CDS: possession paraphernalia (2 counts). White was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and released on his own personal recognizance.

Jordan Christian Webster, 20, Beltsville, MD: Possession of a firearm minor, handgun on person, loaded handgun on person, loaded handgun in the vehicle, and a handgun in the vehicle. Webster was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and held on a $3,500 bond.

Savion Macai Gallion, 20, Riverdale, MD: possession of a firearm minor, handgun on person, loaded handgun on person, loaded handgun in vehicle, handgun in vehicle, possession of marijuana 10+ grams, failure of vehicle driver to stop after unattended (vehicle, property) damage accident, failure of vehicle driver in an accident to locate and notify the owner of unattended (vehicle, property) damage, and operating a motor vehicle with (operator/occupant under 16) not restrained by (seatbelt/child safety seat). Gallion was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and held on a $3,500 bond.
