From open air drug deals to people breaking into vacant buildings, neighborhoods across Baltimore are often held hostage as those crimes rage on outside.
“It’s like we’re living in hell in our own community,” said one West Baltimore resident who was too afraid to show her face or share her name.
She tells FOX45 News that she feels like she can’t leave her own home because of the constant drug deals happening on the corner in front of her house.
“Everyday, 7 days a week,” she said. “Locked in our own home, fear to come out because you never know when a shooting is going to take place. So it’s just unsafe.”
Fears for safety that she feels are being ignored.
“Aint nobody doing nothing to stop these people, that’s why they’re doing what they’re doing,” she said. “They’re letting them do whatever they want to do out there. They’re living free. They aint got a worry in the world.”
It comes as the city’s top prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby, has stopped prosecuting what she calls “low level” crimes, which are many of the things being seen in these neighborhoods daily.
Since making her policy to no prosecute certain crime permanent last month, Mosby has been working to defend them during a major media tour on radio and national television. She says not prosecuting things like drug possession, prostitution and trespassing gives her team more time to focus on “victim” crimes.
I don’t feel sorry for these people. They are the ones who elected the worthless politicians. Now they want to cry about it. As far as I can see they got what they deserve
They need to learn that voting democrat is not in their best interests.
They need to listen to the Kim Klaciks, Ben Carsons, and Clarence Thomas’s and tell the Al Sharptons and BLMs to shove it where the sun don’t shine!!
Sure something is being done about it. Money is being thrown in that hole same as with schools. Lot of money, every time you absorb any news outlet. The failed governor of MD recently offered a chunk of tax payers dollars to Uber over there. The big story should be what happens to our funds when they reach Crime City? Who pockets the large? You know the “leaders” are always making headlines for their very own wrong doings. Only profitable entity there was “The Block” and it didn’t survive either. Flatten the place and watch the scum and rats hid for the harbor. Remove the name and rebuild.
5/3-9:10 makes a good point. Also what must be included in the mix, is what seems to be a breakdown in morality and a state of Godliness. Although the latter seems more prevalent in the inner cities, it is surely trending throughout our country. Unfortunately, unless the hearts of men are changed, such behavior will continue to expand.
They keep voting for the same people to get free stuff and this is what you get. Many are on all type of assistance so they move out of Baltimore and guess where they go? HERE! They still get the same amount of money but it’s cheaper to live here. Make going to jail/prison a horrible experience so they won’t want to go back rather than “so what if I get caught”. Many of the judges need to be locked in prison because they keep letting the criminals go free over and over again. Mosby should be behind bars for ignoring the laws and refusing to prosecute the criminals.

Every Baltimore mayor has the power to demolish abandoned buildings,
including houses, when they present a danger to the public. This could
be done using the federal funds that Biden and Dem friends are diddling
away on much lesser “infrastructure” programs.
With all those white boys hanging out on the corner with guns and drugs, she should be afraid. Those guys don’t give a damn about nuthin’.

I think what she means is she voted (maybe) for black politicians who promised her a rose garden, but delivered a big box of scum.
Now, I suppose she ‘ll need some white people to fix the situation.
We keep sending millions of tax dollars to Baltimore (all managed — or MIS-managed) by black people and the city is a crime ridden cesspool. Their “leaders” have nice cars and live in nice houses and take “business trips” all around the country.
The CITIZENS they claim to love and honor (do Black Lives Matter to them??? lol) hide in their homes and pray for rescue. It ain’t coming.
But more FELONS will be coming, maybe for dinner tonight. Probably not invited, either.
