Tom Brady’s Lombardi Trophy boat throw that went viral Wednesday didn’t go over well with one Fort Myers, Fla., woman, who said the toss was an insult to her family’s legacy.
“It just upset me that this trophy was disgraced and disrespected by being thrown as if it was a real football,” Lorraine Grohs told Fox4.
During the Buccaneers’ boat parade on the Hillsborough River to celebrate Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl 2021 victory over the Chiefs, the 43-year-old quarterback tossed the Lombardi Trophy from his yacht to someone on another boat.
That upset Grohs, who is the daughter of Greg Grohs, the master silversmith at Tiffany and Company from 1967 to 1994, who crafted the first Vince Lombardi Trophy.
She said the seven-time Super Bowl champion disrespected the trophy and the people that work on it.
waaaahhhhh!
Get over yourself. There are way more disrespectful things going on in America than someone throwing a stupid trophy
We have so much on our plate now , this kind of bull $hit from this female is unwarranted and stupid. Lady , it’s a an object of little importance , it’s not a god , he didn’t hurt it . All I can think about now is that we have a female VP with about the same brain power as this idiot . We are in deep $hit.
She needs to get over herself.
I saw a local highschool football coach was stabbed at brew river and now the health department has closed them down
It’s not your trophy it’s his
This gal has nothing to do with the silver blob . Sounds like a entitled nut job. Just my humble opinion. None of my concern.
Damn, you trying to steal Brady’s thunder is pathetic, you little Karen a$$ b!+ch.
Wake up honey, get a life!!!!
And the coach commented on FB that the story in not completely factual and that he never gave permission to run the story, what is he hiding
