The Senate unanimously passed bipartisan legislation Friday to award U.S. Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman the Congressional Gold Medal.
The legislation was first introduced in January by U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Chris Coons (D-Del.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), and Ben Cardin (D-Md.).
Goodman was captured on video confronting rioters during the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, which delayed their access to the Senate chamber.

Well, that certainly drops the value of the award, as did Obama giving Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Nobel Prize committee giving their award to Obama. Cozy up there, isn’t it.
They’re making these awards next to meaningless.
He did his damned job.
Before long they’ll come in Crackerjack boxes.
just another useful idiot defending the swamp! nothing to see here. take your bs medal and move along!
It is the PELOSI award !!! Nothing more !!!
