Most Americans may not realize that after Democratic leaders in Washington, D.C., insisted on mobilizing and deploying tens of thousands of National Guard troops to protect Joe Biden from absolutely nothing during his inauguration last month, several thousand of them remain in the nation’s capital.
Yet, many members of Congress don’t seem to know why. Worse, they can’t get anyone who is in charge of Capitol security (we’re looking at you, Speaker Pelosi) to explain it.
“We still have National Guardsmen out there, away from their families, away from their jobs, supplementing the police, and yet we can’t get a briefing on what is this dire threat that requires so many people. We still don’t have answers,” Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum on Monday.
