The remainder of the Wicomico Youth Basketball League (WYBL) season will not take place as planned.
Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism made the announcement Monday afternoon. A release cited several COVID-19 related including the possibility that the Civic Center will become a vaccine site.
“We held out hope and were prepared to resume the season since the postponement was announced in December,” said James Simmons, recreation superintendent for Wicomico County Recreation & Parks. “Unfortunately, we are at the point where we are not able to complete the season and provide participants with the experience they deserve.”
WYBL participants will be automatically issued a full refund.
When are we going to fight back on this nonsense? Time to call for a general meeting among local populations and form a plan.
Insane. They are directly responsible for the mental and emotional issues that our children are having.
