Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan on Monday announced an additional $20.7 million in COVID-19 relief funding for education as school systems work to get students safely back into classrooms.
“In addition to proposing a budget that funds education across the board at record levels, we are working to get federal COVID-19 relief funding out to schools and colleges as quickly as possible,” said Hogan. “We are prioritizing this relief funding where it can do the most good for the most students.”
Last week, the governor proposed a FY 2022 recovery budget that funds education at record levels, including $7.5 billion for K-12 schools.
This funding comes through the recently-enacted federal COVID-19 relief bill.
Dumping more money into a failed system!
Money would be better spent by offering competition through a
school voucher program.
There are better things to spend this money on, such as assisting SENIORS on SSI instead of the lazy bums who don’t deserve it or the lazy bums getting extra money paid to them for not working.

What is the educational system doing with their excess money they should have with the schools closed?
Less cost in electricity, less heat cost, NO transportation cost for buses, no cost for after school activities such as Band / sports teams / uniforms for these activities plus bus / transportation to and from, Teacher salaries they are getting when not held accountable for less time instructing the students.
