Main Street Patriots, post rally report

Well, we waited a few days for the dust to settle and to let the reality sink in . . . a miniscule segment of the crowd broke into the capitol/ fought with the police, demoralized the politicians who supported us (or maybe just gave them an excuse to back down) . . . sure, we are rightly pissed and concerned for our country, and sure, there may have been agitators dressed as Trump supporters inciting some of our people, but our actions always have and always will be judged by a different standard than the actions of the leftist America-haters.  The actions of a few distracted from the fact that the crowd was huge and peaceful, and because of a handful of people our rally/protest was labeled a “riot”.

On a more optimistic note, we were thrilled and honored to have a columnist for the national website “American Thinker” on our bus, and his article is at    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/01/january_6_2020_a_day_that_will_live_in_political_infamy.html  

He tells the story of that day much better than we could, and we thank him for mentioning our group in his article.

Now it is up to us to insure that the scumbag who murdered a patriot in cold blood is prosecuted.  Will the fact that she is a white female Trump supporter cause the murder to swept under the rug?  You folks need to follow this case, contact Congressman Harris and demand that he get involved.  Here’s a link to the video, but already it seems no one is mentioning this at all, as if she deserved to be shot.  The shooter had no justifiable reason to use deadly physical force . . . she was not near him, she was unarmed, she was on the other side of a wall, and there were uniformed capitol police basically a few feet away from her.  The use of deadly physical force – – even when used by police – – must meet certain criteria.  There was no “feared for my safety” bullsit here.  The shooter or his agency/job hasn’t even been identified.

And here’s another – – but comparatively minor – – outrage: this comment was posted on our facebook page:

We posted: FYI, all our D.C. ‘protesters’ are back on the bus and heading home. . . our bus coordinator tells us that some of our people made it to the capitol steps.  More details as we get them.

A person named Robert C. Scott commented: A bus of traitors with BLOOD on your hands. domestic terrorists

OK, we understand that these are hateful people and we are used to being called vile names, and personal insults.  But what is so unsettling about this – – is that this guy’s facebook page clearly indicates that he works – – or maybe owns – – a local retail business (ie “Works at J Conn Scott Furniture” ), and he is calling us traitors and terrorists based on our political beliefs.  Is he trying to tell us that we are not welcome in his store due to our support of the President?  After all he took it upon himself to contact our page and insult us with terms that many might consider defamatory, his comments being accessible to anyone who viewed our page, while his business affiliation is clearly stated on his facebook page which is accessible to anyone.

In addition to that, he also messaged us thru facebook the day before the rally, inquiring departure details of our rally bus re departure time, location . . . considering that the next day he posted a comment calling us “traitors” and “domestic terrorists” we wonder what his intentions were?  Why did someone who obviously despises us need to know what time the bus was leaving and where it was leaving from?  Note that because he wasn’t on our bus list or our email contact list we were suspicious and we visited his facebook page which reflected anti-Trump sentiments . . . needless to say he wasn’t given the info that he requested.
