Multiple Dogs Get Sick Eating Potentially Contaminated Dog Food Spread Throughout Wicomico Co. Neighborhood

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, Animal Control and Humane Society are investigating a potential animal cruelty crime after 10 dogs fell ill after eating a mysterious dog food mix left out on the ground in the Tony Tank neighborhood.

Dog owners say the dog food mix resembled the brand Kibbles ‘N Bits and that it was left out on the medians between houses where families frequently walk their dogs.

Dog owners say their dogs experienced vomiting and diarrhea after consuming the mix.

It was first discovered around Christmas Day and last seen Sunday prompting the Tony Tank Homeowner’s Association to urge residents to steer clear of the area and check their home surveillance footage for a culprit.

The Sheriff’s Office says if someone is found to have intentionally poisoned the dogs, they will face animal cruelty charges, a fine and possibly jail time.

  1. If people cleaned up after their dogs crap like this wouldnt happen.
perp probably doesnt own a dog and is tired of cleaning up dog crap.

to solve the problem , get a bulk container of cayenne pepper and sprinkle on the edge of the lawn most frequented. that will solve the problem
