A D.C. church that was targeted by vandals during protests against the 2020 election results says it is suing the Proud Boys – a self-described “chauvinist” group often associated with white nationalism.
The Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church was one of two historically black churches that were vandalized during the protests.
According to the church, the Proud Boys constituted a group that scaled its fence and then tore down a large Black Lives Matter sign on display.
“White supremacists like the Proud Boys, would rather see the country burn than to see it united together under justice and freedom for all,” said Kristen Clarke, president and executive director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. “Black churches and other religious institutions have a long and ugly history of being targeted by white supremacists in racist and violent attacks meant to intimidate and create fear. Our lawsuit aims to hold those who engage in such action accountable. We are proud to represent Metropolitan A.M.E. which has a long history of standing against bigotry and hate and whose courage and determination to fight back is a beacon of hope for the community.”
The church is suing the Proud Boys organization and Enrique Tarrio – its chairman.
DC establishment have a bigger worry over the next couple of days and weeks. Monday the 18th is a national holiday, 20th inauguration day with the metro area closed. Me thinks many are praying for a snowstorm on the 19th to avoid whats happening today for a repeat the 20th. Inauguration is pretty much closed but people will come. Sad
So I guess it’s ok for Black Lives Matter and Antifa to burn the American flag but when someone burns one of their banners it is a serious crime. What in the hell has happened to this country.

the focus on diversity can become its own god. Diversity itself is revered rather than the One who created that diversity. An emphasis on diversity tends to highlight our differences. God is more concerned with unity (Ephesians 4:3). Galatians 3:28 says, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” God is saying that our differences are not what should define the children of God. Those who belong to the Lord Jesus should first define themselves as God’s children. We must be willing to set diversity aside in favor of unity in spirit. Jesus’ passionate prayer in John 17shows that His desire for His disciples was that “they may be one as you and I are one” (verse 22).
