The start of COVID-19 vaccine distribution gives front-line health care workers early access to the drug, but a substantial number are choosing to not get vaccinated.
Several U.S. states have reported lower-than-anticipated vaccination rates among such workers, including one from the Ohio governor and California and Texas hospitals, according to the New York Post.
In addition, a recent Kaiser Family Foundation survey found that 29 percent of health care workers feel hesitant about receiving the vaccine.
Ohio GOP Gov. Mike DeWine says roughly 60% of the front-liners in his state have so far opted out of getting the shot, saying that he won’t make it mandatory but would like higher compliance.
This isn’t the whole story. My wife is a front line (“1A”) worker and has been informed that certain pharmacies have the COVID vaccine AVAILABLE. Call to those pharmacies however in identifying any of them having any of vaccines. How can people refuse it when there isn’t any available?
They give it to them at the hospital if you work there.
I watch the numbers and the positivity rate is going up along with the vaccination numbers. I would have thought the rate would have been going down.
Just wait, they will mandate a vax for all of you, no matter what so get ready for that!
Some us will fight to our death before we take a vaccine.
That is becasue it is all a shame! that is why nothing it makes sense! And it will never make sense!!!
And the new strain will again require modified vacines.
