Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on Thursday warned President Trump to avoid “adventurism on his way out” after Trump threatened punishment if Iran kills Americans in Iraq.
The threats are being traded ahead of the Jan. 3 anniversary of the Trump-ordered assassination of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad.
Zarif tweeted, “@realDonaldTrump uses a worthless photo to recklessly accuse Iran.”
“Last time, the US ruined our region over WMD fabrications, wasting $7 TRILLION & causing 58,976 American casualties. FAR WORSE this time. Trump will bear full responsibility for any adventurism on his way out,” Zarif added.
