2021 Recreational Bluefish Catch Limits — Effective 1/1/2021
WHAT THIS NOTICE DOES
The Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources announces changes to the
recreational catch limit for bluefish. Effective 12:01 a.m. January 1, 2021:
- Recreational anglers fishing from shore or private boats can keep up to 3 bluefish per
person per day. - Recreational anglers fishing from for-hire boats can keep up to 5 bluefish per person per
day.
WHY THIS IS NECESSARY
This action is necessary to implement the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s
Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Bluefish.
WHO THIS NOTICE AFFECTS
This applies to all individuals who catch bluefish recreationally.

1 new dnr reg–need to do away with 2 old ones . These dnr people dont do anything but sit back and screw the commercial and recreational fishermen over and over yet they get their pay checks every week
how about defunding dnr? this agency with their regulations strangling businesses and recreational fishing is a joke. time for them to be disbanded and put to work fighting crime! catching 4 bluefish with your son or daughter is not a crime! just because some bureaucrat thinks it should be! piss off! how many $’s could be saved by doing away with this nazi organization?
