| Last night at the 100th St OC Catholic Church (St. Lukes), a family showed up for 5PM Mass without State approved face protection. Ushers, and eventually the Parish Priest, approached them about the situation and asked them to leave or cover up. There were 2 adults (one wearing cellophane?) uncovered and 2 children uncovered. Maybe they were poor and needed some help. This family apparently refused to cover up even after offering them FREE masks. Fortunately, they all left on their own in the end. My point is that I don’t think this is a rebuttal that the Parish endorses. We simply attempt to comply with local officials while we do our own thing while welcoming all. None of us wanted ANY infection from this family. We simply want others to respect our wishes for continued safe meetings. Yeah, some say “call the cops” but I don’t think that is justified either. Please everyone, calm down! May you have a Merry Christmas! |

There is nothing wrong with civil disobedience. You should just mind your own business and left them alone. If you don’t want to “get” anything from them keep your distance. I didn’t read anything in this article about them spitting in your koolaid. It’s time we all step up and refuse to wear the mask. Tyranny runs deep with fear and they just aren’t scared.
