Major winter storm will slam the Northeast this week and could dump up to 10 inches of snow on New York City, Virginia and Boston

The Northeast will be hit by a major snowstorm this week that could bring between six to 10 inches of snow from Virginia to New York City and could last long enough for a white Christmas.

A major nor’easter will barrel through the mid-Atlantic to the Northeast starting on Wednesday bringing with it heavy snow, fierce winds, and coastal flooding.

Experts forecast the storm will dust snow and cold temperatures in New York, Boston, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia, according to Weather.com.
