Univ. of Maryland department forces professors to acknowledge they’re on ‘stolen land’

(COLLEGE FIX) – So-called land acknowledgments are a popular form of virtue signaling for woke students and faculty.

Right in time for Thanksgiving, the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy has decreed that faculty must participate in corporate confessions of sin to the previous inhabitants of the taxpayer-funded institution’s geography.

UCLA Law Prof. Eugene Volokh, a First Amendment expert, shared an email he was forwarded from the department on its newly approved “syllabus statement” on “Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.”

  1. So….what was Columbus supposed to do? Turn around? Say, “hey, this vast land full of resources…we should just leave it alone” ?

Will the Indians also acknowledge all the other Indians land they stole (and raped, and burned and tortured)? The White man may use his terrible thunder sticks (which, by the way, he invented and not the savages)….

but the white man didn’t hold you captive and torture you for days and days on end- pulling out your intestines slowly or gouging out your eyes and slicing off your genitals.
