FYI, according to Simone Gold, MD, JD, FOUNDER America’s Frontline Doctors, the SARS COVID VIRUS is 0.1 micron in size. That’s 1/1000 the size of a hair, 50 times smaller than bacteria, and 100-200 times smaller than the pore diameter of a surgical mask. This is based on scientific studies conducted for years PRIOR to the current outbreak. Therefore it is ludicrous to think current mask mandate is effective at preventing said virus!!! Here comparison is similar to other comments I’ve reflected, stating it’s like trying to keep out sand thrown at a chain link fence. Current mask mandate is nothing more than propaganda being used to instill fear in people to “mask’ the reality that we are having our constitutional rights stripped away. Fauci himself along with others also acknowledge the fact that asymptomatic transmission is NOT a driver of pandemics.
I believe the idea is that while the virus may be that small, it is carried/transmitted via droplets of fluid — sneezes, coughs, exhalations from the mouth that contain moisture — and those droplets are larger than the virus and those are blocked by the mask.
