Pfizer’s political donations favored Democrats in 2020 cycle, with Biden the highest recipient

Pfizer, which announced on Monday that it’s COVID-19 vaccine has 90% effectiveness in humans, favored Democrats overall with campaign contributions in the 2020 election cycle.

According to Open Secrets data, Pfizer employees and its affiliated Political Action Committees donated 60.3% to Democrats in 2020 and 39.6% to Republicans. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was the top recipient with $256,520 in contributions.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said on Monday that the timing of the company’s COVID-19 vaccine announcement had nothing to do with the presidential election. Television networks like NBC News projected Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden as the winner of the race on Saturday.

    1. Exactly. The vaccine companies aren’t going to dump money into legislators that encourage people to disagree with science.

  1. This Pfizer vaccine is very suspect. It needs to travel and be stored between -70 and -94 degrees which is a logistical nightmare and only adds to its cost and the reality that only those best positioned to pay for it will get it. It is also not assuring the CEO sold millions of stock the day the news broke. If this is the vaccine they are going approve and pitch though at 38 dollars a share today a humble invested will likely out preform an IRA 401K and meager social security.

    You are a moron.

They are favoring the political party (Biden) that won’t force prescription price reductions.

Pfizer is easily buying Biden and Biden is easily for sale.
