Lost Wage Assistance dispersed in Virginia amid pandemic

Hundreds of thousands of Virginians just got $1,800 for pandemic unemployment relief.

This is the Lost Wage Assistance money from FEMA.

If you received unemployment benefits of $100 or more from August 1st through September 5th then you are eligible for this money.

But you have to prove that you are unemployed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Joyce Fogg, a representative with Virginia Unemployment Commission, says, “They will get it in one lump payment for however many weeks they were unemployed.
